July 11th
Kayak Capers

Hello all,
It looks as if Saturday, July 11th will be a good day, as far as tides are concerned, to kayak out to Capers Island and back about 6 hours later.  We will meet at Gadsdenville Landing in Mt Pleasant/Awendaw at about 12:30 pm and return to the landing around 7 pm or later.  This is an ALL DAY PADDLE,  so it is very important that anyone participating bring about 2 liters of water/Gatorade, some dinner & snacks, and plenty of sunblock!  Some extras worth bringing along are a hat, sunglasses, and maybe even a volleyball net & ball!
 
Because Saturdays are busy for the company that I work for, I unfortunately have to limit the number of CBVSC paddlers to 12 participants at the discount rate of $25 per person (the regular rate for a guided full-day paddle is $85 per person).  So, I would like for people to contact me AT THE E-MAIL ADDRESS: cab3332003 at yahoo.com to reserve your spot on a "first come, first served" basis.  Anyone who owns his or her own kayak or can borrow one from a friend will not need to pay anything and will not be counted amongst "the twelve" at the discounted rate.  Once you express your interest, I am going keep your name on a list and collect your $25 payment NO LATER THAN Sunday, July 5th at the social Sunday volleyball play time, afterwhich I will re-send an e-mail letting people know how many seats are still available at the $25 rate.  If you have not paid me by then, I will sell your spot to someone else....  Cash or checks are OK, and checks
 can be made out to "Nature Adventures".  If you will not be at social Sunday on the 5th, please call me at (843) 514-1796 and we can make arrangements so that I can collect your payment ahead of time if you really want to hold your spot.
 
I had a blast with everyone that attended the evening paddle in May on Quenby Creek and I hope that ya'll will be up for a paddle through the saltmarshes out to Capers Island!  I will provide directions to the boat landing later on to those who express interest in attending.
