Spring Coed 4's League- Monday

Cinco De Mayo at SANTI'S! - Tuesday

KAYAK on Quenby Creek- Saturday, May 9th

 2's Spring League at the Windjammer
      Cash prizes for top 3 open teams.  1st Place- $500, 2nd Place- $350, and 3rd Place-$150. Winners receive trip to California for league series tourney.
  Women's Open & A- Wednesday at 6:15 &  7:15 pm    
          Starts May 13th
  Men's Open & A- Thursday at 6:15 & 7:15 pm
           Starts May 14th

Off the Hook is offering $2 Miller Lite & Blue Moon draft beer and 1/2 priced appetizers to CBVSC members.

Come join us for Cinco De Mayo!  Music, food, and drink.  Spring CBVSC & Barefoot AVP league members receive a free Margarita or Beer.

What: Full Moon Paddle (by kayak) on Quenby Creek to Pompion Hill Chapel & back
Who: CBVSC members, family and/or friends
When: Saturday, May 9th @ 4 pm
Where: Ralph C. Hamer Landing in Huger, SC (~45 minutes from Chas; directions below--carpooling is strongly encouraged!!!)
Why: 'cause kayaking that time of day & night on the blackwater marsh is really cool
How: RSVP directly to Craig Bachman by Thursday evening at 10 PM at (843) 514-1796 or cab3332003 at yahoo.com.  Let me know how many seats you need and if you prefer a single (recommended) or tandem (discouraged) kayak
Bring: $25 per person using one of our kayaks, drinking water & snack, a flashlight or headlamp, camera, maybe a light jacket, enough energy for about 3 1/2 to 4 hours of paddling on the water plus a break on land at the chapel
Expected: that you will honor your committment if you say you are coming (b/c loading kayaks to drive them to the boat landing just to have them go unused is a big, big pain!!!)
Extras: children must be at least 13 years old to paddle their own boat, everyone must wear one of our PFDs (life vests) or bring their own that is rated class III or above, everyone must fill out a Nature Adventures Outfitters Release of Liability Waiver prior to getting on the water.

Directions to boat landing from downtown/Mt Pleasant:
Take Highway 17 north to intersection with Highway 41.  Turn left onto Highway 41 and follow it for almost 17 miles.  Turn left onto Cainhoy Road (if you get to the blinking light at the intersection of 41/402/Steed Creek Rd & the dilapidated gas station you just passed the turn!), cross the railroad tracks and turn right into the public boat landing.

Directions to boat landing from West Ashley/North Charleston:
Take I-526 to the Clements Ferry Road-NORTH exit (exit 23-B).  Follow Clements Ferry Road about 7 miles past Nelliefield Plantation and the Peninsula subdivisions to a new traffic light at Cainhoy Road.  Turn left at the light onto Cainhoy Road and follow Cainhoy Road about 11-12 miles until you cross the significant bridge which is Quenby Creek.  Turn left into the boat landing as soon as you cross the bridge.  If you miss the turn onto Cainhoy Road, Clements Ferry Road will continue to Reflectance Drive on which you can turn left and then turn left again from Reflectance onto Hwy 41 and follow 41 North (use the directions above from).

If lost, call Craig at (843) 514-1796 for directions!!!!  Hope to see lots of people on Saturday.....
